About Danforth Art

What was once known as the Danforth Museum of Art, now called Danforth Art, is just 30 miles west of Boston and provides all who visit with entertaining and educational experiences in the visual arts.

Kids, it's time to get creative!

Danforth Art features a wonderful collection of American art, as well as changing exhibits of contemporary artists, so those creative kids can be inspired, particularly if they are art students themselves.

Focusing on American art from 18th century to present day, Danforth Art is dedicated to showing the very best examples of contemporary art by both emerging and established artists.

Their compelling exhibitions and permanent collection feature over 3,500 works of art, so offer all ages can explore a range of media and artistic forms of expression.

If you do feel like your creative juices just want to flow after seeing the collections, you can channel them by taking part in the classes and programs that Danforth Art offer, so one day your artwork might be on the walls, being admired by OTHER families who visit!

Danforth Art offers a wide variety of art opportunities and resources for children, teens, adults, teachers, and families.

Is Danforth Art fully accessible?

The parking lot has accessible spaces and the main entrance from the lot is a power assist door. An elevator provides direct access to both the museum and to the art school. Restrooms have fully accessible stalls. There are benches in each gallery. Service dogs are welcome
