Never has an adventure been so understated in it's title as the City Museum!
This incredible St. Louis museum is 600,000 sq ft of children's funhouse, unique architecture, and plauyground!
Why don't we start with a super fun fact? Did you know that the rooftop offers a rope ramp slide, stepping stone Splash Pond, a massive rope swing and Ferris Wheel? A Ferris Wheel on the roof! We told you this wasn't any old museum!
The City Museum is a fascinating place for families to just come and explore, and experiment. The 3rd floor houses Toddler Town for those younger curious minds, as well as a recreated carnival midway, a hands on art studio and architectural museum display. Pretty cool!
The 2nd floor's standout feature is the kids' aquarium boasting tunnels and tubes for the kids to move within (yet underneath) the live sea life exhibits.
The first floor is sincerely an adventure, with adult sized tunnels, tubes and meandering mazes littered with creative genius, and the mezzanine offers views of the aquarium and ponds, a two storey slide and climbing delights. Phew! That's a lot of exploring to do!
And have we mentioned the Enchanted Caves beneath the building itself? In the semi dark? With the 10 story spiral slide??? A visit to the City Museum is the only real way to appreciate how unique it really is - so take us to St. Louis, the City Museum is waiting!
