The Cathedral lies right in the centre of the historic city of Winchester,
Located just off the M3 (Junctions 9, 10 & 11), it’s an easy journey by road from London (1.5 hours) and Southampton (20 minutes). Take the A34 from Newbury (35 minutes), Oxford (1 hour) and the A30 from Salisbury (40 minutes).

The Cathedral Shop is located directly opposite the Cathedral’s main entrance, and is a great place to stop before your visit ends!
The shops offers a wide range of books as well as interesting and unique gifts and souvenirs all inspired by the history and treasures of the amazing Cathedral!
The Deanery Bookshop also has great second hand books too!
They love having schools tour, but it's important to note that that all visits are booked in advance even if you don’t want the cathedral staff to organise tours or activities.
There is a small charge per pupil but accompanying adults are given free admission, based on number ratio students to teachers
The Cathedral has a variety of measures to ensure equal access in and around the building. All 3 floors are accesible
