Itchen Valley Country Park

Itchen Valley Country Park is set in 440 acres of water meadows, woodlands and parklands and has lots of family-friendly activities that will make a great day out for all ages.

There's plenty for families to enjoy at the park. The cafe regularly exhibits the work of local artists, and you can even purchase the originals, prints and gifts here too!

Outdoors, you'll find two play areas. One for childre under the age of nine and an adventure style play area for children up to 14 years old. It's complete with slides, swings and ropes for the little ones to burn off some energy! 

The forest trail connects the two play areas and there is a short circuit with a series of play pieces, including a giant squirrel, climbing frame and a snail slide. 

If the weather takes a turn, they have an indoor woodland play area for children up to the age of six and there's lots of wooden animals that you would find in the park for a forest adventure. 

There are lots of family trails throughout the year, with prizes to be one too! You can take park in physical activity challenges and there's free activity sheets too that will help you make the most of your visit.
