About this activity

Mottisfont is a romantic house and gallery in beautiful riverside gardens with plenty do for for the whole family! Meander through the trees and paths and get outside in nature and see what you can spot on your visit!

Thouse itself is an 18th century building with plenty of art exhibitions in the spacious gallery. The house has sent lots of transformations over the past 800 years and has been shapred by the different owners.

There are two moasics, a secret panel in the bedroom and a secret message from the artist which was painted on the wall before he left for active service.

The garden has riverside walkways and magnificent trees, walled gardens and seasonal flowers that will change every time you visit!

There's a wild play area too which has plenty of wooden structures for the kids to run, climb and jump over. There's wooden bridges and a rushing river, so why not play a game of Pooh sticks?! Challenge your family and friends to a game and see who can win.

There's also vast paddock areas which are great for playing frisbee or other ball games.

Make sure to keep an eye on the events calendar too as they have lots of seasonal events. Every Easter they have an Easter egg hunt around the estate.

As well as the eggs, there's lots of spring activities including egg rolling, bean bag throwing, crafts ans an art gallery where children can display their drawings.

Check the website before you visit so you know what events are happening when and where!
