Coombe Country Park offers 500 acres of beautiful woodlands, grasslands, gardens and lake. It is the perfect location for a fun filled family day out or a relaxing picnic out in the fresh air.
There are three purpose built play areas at the park. There's one next to the visitor centre designed for under 12s, a climbing forest which is more challenging with cargo nets, climbing posts and more and Hermit's Hollow where children can clamber amongst the tree tops.
You'll find accessible trails and walks of all lengths and a formal gardens and arboretum which makes the perfect place to relax. For a sensory experience, head to the wildflower meadows with sights, smeels and sounds and explore the pong dipping stations to see what you can find.
There is a duck and swan feeding area and the feed is available to buy from the information centre and there's an old deer park which offers stunning views of the park and abbey.
You'll find bird hides around the park and they're great for seeing what birds are at the park and there's a wide variety of environmental and outdoor educational programmes too.
The park is a great open space for sports and exploring, and plenty of opportunities for the kids to burn off some energy!
