Are you familiar with the classic Tomb Raider games and ever wished to experience it in real life? You are in luck! The Tomb Raider Live Experience has opened in London in 2022 , which takes you on a 75-minute journey through various game locations.

This adventure is a blend of immersive theatre, escape room challenges, physical activities, and more. The multi-level soundstage boasts exquisite detailing and theming in most of the rooms, except for a couple of chambers where one is recommended to avoid looking up at the exposed ceiling.

The expedition is guided by multiple actors who elucidate the tasks to be performed in each room to collect the essential element spheres to defeat the villains pursuing you. The tasks range from mere search and locate activities to physical challenges or object handling.

Talking about physical challenges, there are two such episodes that might be surprising considering today's safety protocols. The first one is the zip wiring experience that requires one to hang on without any harness, and the other one is the "leap of faith," where you jump backward into a ten-foot drop. Although the necessary precautions are taken, these challenges will surely test your bravery.

However, all these puzzles, physical activities, and challenges are just a preface to the main event - a theatrical style faceoff between the villains and Lara Croft herself. The theming in this grand room is the most impressive part of the entire experience, reminiscent of something out of the game or a movie!

Before you know it, the adventure concludes, and you find yourself aboard a plane en route to London, where you are greeted with a main bar and event space. From here, you can watch other adventurers traverse part of the Costa Rican jungle.

The team has created an intelligent mix of puzzles, challenges, and physical activities that impeccably capture the essence of the video games. Although a particular dark and cramped section might scare some, most of the experience is delightful and entertaining, providing a great time for all.

It is noteworthy that one need not be a Tomb Raider aficionado to appreciate and enjoy this event. Even non-gamers can grasp the storyline and have a fantastic time!
