Somerset Cricket Museum is part of the Somerset County Cricket Club and it's a great place to visit if you are a cricket enthusiast and want to delve deeper into the history of cricket in Somerset.
There are a variety of displays at the museum. The displays are mainly static, but there are interactive screens too. The displays show the development of cricket equipment over the years, the players and much more. See how it's changed over the years!
You'll also find displays that cover England women's cricket and I Zingari, which was a cricket club founded in 1843 and is one of the oldest wandering clubs in the world.
The lower florr and north wing of the museum focuses on the history and development of the museum and the performancs of players who have played for Somerset over the years, with unique memorabilia.
The museum is open during the intervals of the County Championships games and prior to the start of the One Day games. However, you can always arrange a short visit by getting in touch with them too!
The ground and the museum are in the heart of Taunton, less than ten minutes walk from the main line railway station and the bus station and five minutes walk from the heart of the County Town’s main shopping centre.
