Somerleyton is a large estate with 12 acres of spectacular gardens for you to explore with the family. It's considered one of the finest gardens in East Anglia since the mid 17th century and there's lots to explore, all year round!
The centrepiece of the gardens is at the west front, and you'll find the great equatorial sundial which is encircled by the signs of the zodiac. The white garden is to the north of the hall and is a havem for bees and butterflies.
The arboretum has lots of trees that will impress and there's also the iconic maze planted in 1846 where you see if you can get to the centre!
There's are fabulous views across the parkland and you'll be able to spot wildlife roaming freely like cattle, wild ponies and deer.
Somerleyton Hal was also proud to host season 4 of The Crown too and is a spectacular backdrop and Victorian Stately home. You won't be able to visit the hall itself, but you can admire it from afar.
They hold lots of events all year round, so make sure to check the website before you visit so you know what's happening!

PikNikBox has arrived serving cakes, sandwiches and hot drinks. The shop also sells cold drinks, crisps and ice cream.
Nearly all areas of the garden are accessible, although please be aware that some of the paths are uneven in places and tricky with small wheeled chairs. Lawns can be used for moving around.
