Scotland’s best kept secret for over 40 years, Scotland's Secret Nuclear Bunker is hidden beneath an innocent looking Scottish Farmhouse and there's history behind every corner!
Discover the intricate labyrinth on two levels, 100 feet below ground and encased in concrete! The site is where central government and military commanders would have run the country if the UK has been attacked and nuclear war broke out.
The bunker itself has two cinemas, cafe, operations room and an RAF control centre.
The entrance tunnel stretches nearly 450 feet from the start and slopes downhill to the top floor of the bunker. It also maintains the temperature of the bunker at 18 degrees too!
In the command centre you'll see the radar room which has some of the equipment that was used to intercept Doviet incursions and the RAF operations room which shows aircraft and anti-aircraft gun status, as well as original files.
There are six dorms too which were used to sleep up to 300 personnel! There's also a broadcasting studio which was staffed by the BBC to ensure that emergency broadcasts could be transmitted
You'll also find a chapel and a CND room which provides an educational experience for visitors to understand the importance of the bunker.
There's a bus stop 1 mile from the bunker, or enter the postcode KY16 8QH into your sat nav!
