Northala Fields Park is an open space in Ealing, openeing in 2008 so it's still pretty new! They used the waste from the original Wembley Stadium and the new White City shopping centre to turn it into the new park, creating a wide range of habitats for wildlife and recreational facilities.
There is a large earth mound along the edge of the site and provides a unique landmark. You can climb to the top for a view of London and Canary Wharf and it's a great view! You'll also find six interconnecting fishing lakes, a boating lake, wildlife ponds and plenty of streams and wetlands.
At the park there are two well equipped playgrounds! They all feature popular play equipment including frames, slides and swings that the kids will love to play on and burn off some energy!
At the core of the area there is a colourful mosaic which was designed by local students and a visitor centre with a cafe and toilets too!
There are plenty of paths suitable for cyclicts and walkers and lots of wildlife and habitats to look out for on your way around.
