Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary

Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary is located in the New Forest and is a purpose built viewing platform overlooking the meadows where a herd of fallow deer gather. It's a great opportunity to see the deer up close! 

Deer viewing isn't always guaranteed, but they are fed during the months of April and September by the keeper, so they'll be happy and will visit! Feeding time is between noon and 3pm. 

The platform provides an excellent photo opportunity of the deer too and is great if you want close-up shots. 

The wooden viewing platform is just a short distance from the main Bolderwood car park. Adjacent to the car park is a large flat grassy forest lawn, perfect for kicking a football around and getting the kids t burn off some energy! It's a great place to visit when the weather is nice, but it can get a little busy during the sunny weather! 

As well as the deer there's also lots of walks and trails and a large picnic area within the trees. Bring a picnic with you and soak in the surroundings! The walks will take you through the woodlands and are varying abilities.
