About this activity

IWM London is one of the most fascinating of the Imperial War Museums, where the family can hear the stories of those whose lives have been shaped by war -  from WWI right through to the present day through fascinating & informative exhibits

The family can experience a day of learning through the various articles on war and conflict, as well as wars impact on service personnel and civilians.

Within the IWM London you'll find a number of beautifully put together exhibits that deep dive into specific conflicts, as well as stories around them.

Learn all about how the First World War began, before being inspired by extraordinary heroes in the Lord Ashcroft Gallery.

Hear about the turning points between 1934 and 1945 that really changed the world, and hear frist hand accounts from those who lived through it all.

Under the one roof you can also uncover the Second World War Galleries as well as The Holocaust Galleries. These award-winning galleries will change the way the next generations will understand the past.

Spanning two floors, these impressive and vast galleries bring together the heartbreaking, inspiring and extraordinary stories of real people across diverse communities, looking at the complex relationship between the Holocaust and the course and consequences of the Second World War.

The IWM London is a must visit on any family day out in London.
