The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art are two fascinating galleries only 150m apart in the Queensland Cultural Centre.
The Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) are both free admission and allow children to experience a host of art in all forms, and you never know who just might be inspired!
Collectively known as QAGOMA, you'll discover one of Australia’s most visited, ambitious and dynamic galleries that makes the perfect art-tastic family day out.
Combined, the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) are home to fascinating and ever-changing exhibitions, as well as immersive cultural experiences as well as a rich collection of art from diverse cultures across Australia and even all around the world.
What's also really speical is that at the GOMA, you can find the Children's Art Centre which focuses on presenting interactive artworks for children and families, and a cinema that celebrates film from around the world!

QAGOMA is right next to the Cultural Centre Busway station and a short walk from the South Brisbane train station and the South Bank CityCat and Ferry terminal.
The free South Brisbane bus loop (route 86) stops a right out the front of the Gallery.
The service runs in an anti-clockwise direction along Grey Street, Montague Road, Vulture Street and Tribune Street and bus stops are a distinctive green and white colour.
This free bus operates every 10-15 minutes, between 10.00am and 11.00pm, 7 days a week.

You have plenty of choice! The QAG Cafe as well as GOMA Bistro are both great options for something to eat or drink. You also have the GOMA restaurant if you want something a little more formal.
Always check what's on before you go! Then you won't miss the guided tours, film screenings, and art play dates for children, aimed at children under 6 years
Some of the tours are free, some are ticketed.
Of course there is a store! Stop by to pick up something to remember your time by, from bags, books, merchandise and more.
They love it when teachers connect curriculum with exhibitions and their Collection through a range of learning resources for primary and secondary levels! Just give them a call to arrange a field trip!

Both buildings are physically accessible and they offer a range of access programs that are tailored to visitor needs.
