Ocean Beach really showcases the beauty and force of nature. Only 6km west of the town of Strahan, yet standing on the sands you will feel worlds away!
A trip to Ocean Beach does mean to just take care. This particular beach is where you can witness how powerful the swells of the Southern Ocean can be (having just travelled 20,000km across the open sea!)
The coastline of Ocean Beach is wild, with the waves mighty (and so are the rips) - so this is a beach to enjoy the sunsets from the dry land. The waters are not only dangerous but they are not patrolled. However, it is an impressive feat of nature to experience and also the surrounding areas are perfect for walking and exploring, and just enjoying the views.
Want to know something else impressive? Ocean Beach is also Tasmania's longest beach, so you have plenty of sand to be exploring for shells and beautiful stones that might wash up!
A stunning beach which also has a great lookout spot if you want to really have the best view!
