    THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. OUR NEIGHBORS SAW ROACHES AND LEFT IMMEDIATELY. ADVERTISEMENT ON LINE IS WRONG. PICS ARE TAKEN TO MAKE THE PLACE LOOK GREAT. BED WAS KING AND ONE SIDE FALLING DOWN(WORN BAD). BED WAS NOT MADE WELL. HOTEL HAS BEEN PAINTED TO MAKE IT LOOK FRESH. FURNITURE IS THE ORIGINAL FURNITURE, HANDLES FALLING OFF. NO HOT BREAKFAST AS IT WAS INDICATED IN HOTEL ROOM BOOK. ASKED FOR EXTRA TOWELS SINCE WE HAD A HOT TUB IN ROOM. DID NOT GET ANY. ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED WHILE WE WERE THERE. WINDOWS WERE DIRTY, HOLES IN THE WALL AND PARKING LOT NOT LIGHTED WELL. POOL WAS NOT HEATED AND THE WHOLE PLACE NEEDED TO BE DISINFECTED WITH SOMEKIND OF CLEANER. ROOM AIRCONDITIONER WORKED BUT TOOK ALMOST 24 HOURS FOR ROOM TO COOL DOWN LIKE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. PUTTING THAT BABY GRAND PIANO IN THE LOBBY AND UPDATING THE LOBBY DOES NOT HELP OUT THE REST OF THE HOTEL. ICE MACHINES WERE NOT WORKING ON 3 OUT OF THE 5 FLOORS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

    Horrible hotel! We booked two nights, two rooms. On the first night, we found blood on our “clean” sheets. There was no toilet paper in one of the two rooms, and no soap in the other. Neither rooms tub was in working order, but we can deal as long as the shower worked. We booked two queen rooms, yet one room only had one pillow on each bed, instead of two. The rooms appeared to have been half cleaned before our arrival. Check in is 3 pm, we didn’t arrive until after 9 pm. Plenty of time to make sure our rooms are cleaned and stocked properly. The breakfast was not as described, and the man running the breakfast room quit stocking anything by 9 am. Breakfast doesn’t stop until 10. The staff at the front desk was LESS than helpful. Each person we encountered for assistance acted as if we were interrupting their time. Only one man, an older gentlemen, was nice and helpful. He made sure our beds got clean sheets, free of blood. On night two, the second of two rooms had blood on the pillow cases. Needless to say, we just set that pillow aside. When we tried to contact the hotel to address these issues, we are repeatedly told the Hotel Manager is “out, and will return sometime today, you can call tomorrow.” Will NEVER stay here again ,and would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. We are not picky, just ask for a clean and stocked room and a decent breakfast and service. But this was the WORST hotel and staff ever.

    I stayed here over the holiday weekend with my boyfriend because he had a voucher. The appearance from the outside is run-down and not very well light. It is also located next to a McDonald’s and a closed clothing store. The front desk was not in uniform and it took them a good 15minutes to realize someone was standing at the desk. Once we checked in and went to our rooms, we noticed that the room had a very weird smell to it, but it once the air was turned on it went away. In fact the entire hotel had a very weird smell to it. The sheets on the bed had holes in it and we ended up sharing a single towel the entire weekend because every wash clothes was extremely stained or had public hairs on them. I did not feel safe here or trust the staff to come in and clean the room. The shower leaked and had stray hairs along the walls. We came back one evening and noticed that the dumpster was easily visible from the front door and was overflowing with trash. The breakfast consisted of cereal and white bread. The only reason we stuck it out was because it was a holiday weekend and we knew we wouldn’t be able to find a room anywhere else.

    THE WORST HOTEL IN WILLIAMSBURG! ROACHES,DIRTY SHEETS,NO BUTTONS ON THE PHONE OR CORD! TUB NOT IN WORKING ORDER.. AND THE MANAGER WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND UNTIL THE FOLLOWING SAT.CONTACTED THE “CUSTOMER CARE” TO ATTEMPT TO HAVE THEM LOCATE THE MANAGER AND RECTIFY THE MATTER AND REMOVE THE PAYMENT FROM THE CARD AND CONVENIENTLY HE WAS NEVER LOCATED. I WILL CONTACT THE BBB AS WELL AS THE SAFETY AND HYGIENE COMMISSION TO BEGIN AN INVESTIGATION! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND CHOOSE A HOTEL WITH AT LEAST A MANAGER AND A PHONE TO CONTACT THEM~!

    Stayed there for the weekend to look around virginia beach for my wedding coming up. Not only did they not have any reservation for us even though we booked days prior, but after they put us in a room we went to dinner came back to find out they tried to give our room away to someone else. The room was non smoking it smelled like an ashtray and mildew. Me and my fiance bought febreeze to try to mask the smell. The jacuzzi tub does not work and has a sign that says “Tub is no more oper atable. sorry for inconvenience” the second night we had spent there we had to get our keys reactivated because while we were at the beach our room keys had been turned off. It is dirty and nasty and the service was horrible. I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again! I advise anyone who is looking into the Howard Johnson in Williamsburg, VA to save your time and money and go somewhere else.
