Where are we going today?

The Little Rock Zoo is the wildest classroom in town - so get ready for the lesson to begin, kids!

Little Rock Zoo is a great way to experience animals from all over the world - after all, there are over 700 creatures in the zoo, representing over 200 species, so there is so much for the kids to see and do.

Kids will be able to come face to face with their favorite creatures, such as gorillas, lions, and zebra. You might even want to pretend you are out on the African plains, watching the herds of creatures around the water hole!

There are cheeky penguins, mysterious bobcats, and incredible rhinos, just to name a few! There might even be a few animals that kids have never heard of before - there is always something to learn!

If the kids want those fun animal encounters, then the Arkansas Heritage Farm is there place to head! There, kids can groom, feed and touch the sweet barnyard animals, as well as learning about agriculture, and Arkansas's heritage too.

If you want to gain an even deeper insight into Little Rock Zoo and the animals that call it home, then you can book a guided tour for the family! The tour is 45 minutes, and is a great way for kids to ask all those questions they have always wanted to know.

Don't miss the fun events that the zoo host too, across the year. There are Zoofari's, Animal Explorations, Overnight Zoo Snoozes and seasonal activities!

It's animal fun all around in Little Rock - it's a jungle in there!

Volunteered for 2 weekends at boo at the zoo. A mr Myron yancy who is supposedly in charge of the volunteers is very unprofessional. Ive asked many questions and have not had responses. I received an email saying I need to fill out some paperwork for a background check from mr yancy sent it back filled out only to be told I need to track down some woman ive never heard of in my life. And exactly why couldn't mr yancy forward the information to this stranger is beyond me. I guess like most men he figured I would do his job for him. All I can suggest...Read More

I have purchased zoo passes since my children were born. I would frequent the zoo at least one time a week to give my children an outing outside and help educate them on animals. I have never ever liked our zoo. The Little Rock zoo is an absolute disgrace. I will never buy a season pass again. There are very few exhibits that are actually decent and when repairs/upgrades are being made it takes months for these changes to take place. WHERE ARE THE ANIMALS? Everything seems broken and under repair. I almost never see any animals out or on...Read More

Horrible and expensive food prices and train ride. On the train ride you only get to see one animal..... They need to shut that place down like pronto..

Went to the zoo on 11/13. The animals we saw looked healthy and well cared for. It was cold and I guess a lot of the animals were in their shelters so we didn't see many. But several displays were closed or the animals had been removed. If I had known this I probably would have made others plans for the day. It would have been nice if this was noted on the website.
I was disappointed in general condition of the zoo. Piles of leaves were everywhere and there was a good amount of trash on the ground. There were many staff members there engaged...Read More

All I can suggest to anyone reading this is not to waste your time volunteering for these people. They make it very stressful to do so.

Everything seems broken and under repair. I almost never see any animals out or on display at the time and the ones I do see are hardly active. Some of the animals appear gnarly and gross. I think the Little Rock Zoo is an absolute embarrassment. I decided after my most recent visit I will not go back.

I was disappointed in general condition of the zoo. Piles of leaves were everywhere and there was a good amount of trash on the ground. There were many staff members there engaged in cleaning up the grounds but it looks like that was let go for a good while. The staff members I talked to were friendly and helpful. The food at the Africa Cafe was good and reasonably priced.
