Since opening in June of 1995, The Aerospace Education Center has been dedicated to becoming an invaluable resource for Arkansas’teachers and students. Through Its changing exhibits, educational workshops and summer programs, it has continued to expose students to a diverse field of scientific inquiry related to aviation and the space sciences.
The IMAX use to be well kept but I went again last night for the first time in a long time. Big mistake! The grass was grown up all around it and there were weeds growing over the sign. There were no flags on the 3 flag poles. There was a piece of glass broken out of the outer window and just leaning against the building. We circled around the drive twice trying to figure out if they were closed down and even parked infront of the door twice. So I went to the door and pulled on it and to my surprise it was open and there were 3 people sitting at the desk who had been watching us circle around there lot. They were younger and the oldest may have been 23. we payed 7.75 for a movie, The Living Sea, which was way more than it was worth. All of the candy machines were out of order as well as the coke machines. There were a few cokes in one of them but it wasn’t even lit up. There were stains all over the floor and the windows were dirty and smudgy. There was a hole that had been kicked in the wall and the dry wall was left laying in the floor. There was a sign on the entrance to the theater that said do not enter and that was misleading to us. The employee in the gift shop remained seated and didn’t acknowledge us. It needs a good clean up and a new staff.
