The North Georgia Mountains are an amazing place to visit! They are also the home of Jenny's Creek Campground - one option for the family if you want to stay in the mountains a little longer!

There are no dog kennels or roosters. I have no idea where that came from in other posts. We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The campground is clean, but showing some age. The bathhouse was pretty clean, but needs some updating. The gravel sites and roads are not ideal, my husband kept spinning out trying to pull out of the site. We stayed on site #24 which was long, but pretty narrow. Barely enough room for our pop-up and awning. We had no issue with noise from the road. I actually slept great! The campground was nice, but there are a few things that would really help improve this location. 1. The camp sites (at least for RV's) need to be leveled. 2. The bathhouse (while we stayed) needed heat. There was a heater, but only the pilot light was lite. Also there was NO soap or paper towels. 3. If you're considering this campground and expecting FREE WiFi, be sure to read the section on Free Wifi...it's free ONLY at the office or on their porch. If you're expecting free at the campsites...a surprise is in store and there is a cost. 4. It...Read More

We have stayed at Jenny's Creek Campground many times and enjoy this small, very shady campground. The owners are very nice and helpful about what to do in the area. This is an older campground, but that adds to the charm. The bathhouse was well kept. The camp store was well stocked for campers' needs. Many campers we have met have returned many times and that is the best review. If you want a quiet, naturally beautiful campground, this is the place for you.

The owner was very nice and the property is lovely, but unless you are in a soundproof camper you will not get a wink of sleep here. The traffic is very heavy and since the road is right above you the noise echos down into the tent spaces. Coupled with the kennel full of dogs next door barking all night it was miserable for sleeping.

What a great place! Spent a weekend with our family and loved it. Great tent set ups with electricity and water (since the kids were new at it) and very spacious tent sites. I will concede that the traffic may be a little noisy (primarily the stray 18 wheeler passing through on Hwy 129), but the RUMORS of dog kennels and roosters are not true. I Don't know where these people stayed, but Jenny's Creek was perfect for our family's weekend of camping.

The kids enjoyed fishing in the pond, but other than that, there really isn't much for kids to do here. There are definitely better, cheaper campgrounds in the area that won't charge you the extra $5 a night for anything over 4 people (like Unicoi)--which we were told about when we called to make the reservation. But we waited until the last minute to make a reservation for Labor Day weekend, so it worked for us.

The owners were very friendly and offered assistance when we had electrical problems. It ended up being a problem with my camper and they came from their house to the office at 9:00 p.m. in order for me to get some needed fuses. Thanks guys and these are just some suggestions that would make your campground rate from a 3.5 to a 5.
