Where are we going today?
At The Blandford Nature Center families can visit a variety of animals and reptiles, join the Youth Farm Team program, start their own patch to grow in the community gardens and learn about all things natural.
Over 4 miles of outdoor trails guide you through a variety of microcosmic ecosystems, they vary in length and difficulty so it's easy to choose which suits your group. The Nature Nook play area offers a rustic, natural play experience with seating for adults provided.
Additional features include Summer Day Camps, Outdoor Education Programs and Wildlife Sleepover Program. There is also a pioneer village with historically recreated buildings like the blacksmith's and schoolhouse, but these are infrequently open to the public so check ahead for open days.

We have visited Blandford Nature Center because of its connection with the Site:Lab art installations over the past few years. The park itself has interesting hikes and paths to explore. The nature center is educational for all ages. I would give Blandford 5 stars, except they seem to have discouraged Site:Lab from returning. I'm not sure what's up with that, but I do know that we wouldn't even know about Blandford if not for Site:Lab.

Great place. Sugarbush in spring is fantastic. Best tasting maple syrup around.
