Burr Oak State Park has everything a nature loving family needs for that fun day out! Take in over 25 miles of rustic beauty and fresh air, along their scenic hiking trails. Maybe you can spot some wildlife as you're walking? Or maybe stop and have a play in the crunchy fall leaves?
You can really make a day of it with their grills and picnic tables, to enjoy a delicious lunch right in the middle of nature, or enjoy a quick swim and bask in the sun on their 900ft sandy beach.
If you need that little bit of shade you can always use their shelter house during those really hot moments.
If you are more of a water baby or a fishing fanatic, then you have a pristine 161 acre lake where you can rent a fun pontoon boat from the seasonal marina, or fish from the lakeshore and try and catch the catfish, crappie, bluegills or bass that call the lake their home.
Bet you can catch a whole heap of fish!
