I loved the fashion museum and happened to be in town when they had the Fifty Fabulous Frocks exhibit on. The outfits were lovely, though it would have been nice if they were spaced out a bit more so you could look more closely at the detail. The area where you get to try on period clothing was very entertaining. All in, an afternoon well spent here!

    Summary based on 2 visits:
--fine selection of fashion through the years in a somewhat small venue (It's not the V&A, but good for the locale and space available).
    --well organized and labeled
--not terribly expensive to visit, especially as an add on to the nearby Roman Baths with the combination ticket
    --frequent special shows

If you are a fan of old fashion and regency dresses... This is your place. Probably the best thing about this museum is that you can try different dresses and take photos!

Really fascinating exhibition. Some of the fashion items are really phenomenal and really encapsulate a time and a place. I especially loved the Jackie O 1960 Chanel Dress. Classic.
