Horrible experience! Filthy dirty and very run down! Room had broken refrigerator, torn shower curtain, dirt and grime in every corner, no hot water, sewer smell in tub/sink, exhaust fan did not work, key card to room didn’t work most of the time, TV remote didn’t work, coffee pot did not work properly. Room was not vacuumed entire week we stayed, 3 days no hand towels/wash cloths/toilet tissue was left and 1 day room was not cleaned at all! We reserved an ocean view, got a parking lot view. We were told we would get complimentary breakfast every day since we purchased a package, when we checked in we were told that was not the case. Bartender at The Porch restaurant had a horrible attitude. Entertainment in tike bar was promised every day 2-10 and they only had it 2 of the days we stayed. The fire pit in tiki bar area didn’t work half the time. The pool was not heated. We were told they only heat it up to end of August. That doesn’t make any sense to me! We stayed at the Marriott Resort last year and that is where we will stay in the future–never at The Beach House. It needs a total revamp, makeover, new management, remodeled and more!

Supposed to get a ocean view didn’t happen had a parking lot view… Changed rooms and got a first floor tiki bar view..then the the room we got had a broken AC it was replaced fast I will give them that and it was better than changing rooms for a 3rd time… Then our back up toilet paper roll had some kind of orange stain half way up and around the roll… Enough said on that issue..Then there were additional charges on our credit card still being disputed… Was told by hotel manager Gray Rains he would get us a discount rate at a hotel in Charleston and add additional reward points for all the problems…. Not only did we not get the extra points and problems are still current with our credit card he won’t even accept a phone call after telling us to call him… So spent over 1000.00 for a weekend to get ripped off and lied to… Very disappointed for a holiday inn

This hotel should be ashamed of themselves. My room was a handicap accessible room on the first floor, the view was a parking lot. The bathroom had a drain in it that must have had something to do with sewage bc the bathroom had a sewage smell. No offense to housekeeping, but just to add to the worst spent $277.00, the first night and $249.00, the next two nights, our room was right next door to housekeeping. Our room was not ready until 7pm. The pool area was too crowded. The food was mediocre. As a matter of fact, I’m mad I accepted my room and it makes me NOT to want to go back to Hilton Head.

PROS: The hotel is located right on the beach and next door to Coligny Plaza. The pool had plenty of chairs and large enough to accommodate everyone without being crowded. The Tiki Hut had great music everyday along with well made drinks. The food was pretty good. The prices of the food & beverages were what i expected at a resort. Brandon, at the pool, helped us locate local restaurants and Patricia in housekeeping checked on us daily. She even helped my 6 year carry his beach toys when she saw him having difficulty. Patricia went above and beyond! The rooms were a lil more expensive that what we normally pay but the location kept us from having to drive anywhere. CONS: Outsiders are allowed to pay to park to access the beach. When we returned one evening we didn’t have a place to park but after help from the front desk we were told where to park. The rooms could have more fun beach décor/colors, the hallways were bland. The pool ran out of towels everyday. Overall the pros definitely outweighed the cons. We will more than likely stay here again

I visited this place during the Memorial Day weekend and I liked this place but it was still plain. The hallways were a cream-ish color which looked white. It would be nicer if they had though of getting a more vibrant and beach life color than some dull color. Ihave stayed in the Resort in Corpus Christi and I thought this place would satisfy more. I got to the room 119 and the paint on the door was peeling off and it makes the place look bad. They should replace it ASAP. I will move to the pros now. I love how you take 60 steps and there is sand and happy faces. They have an amazing Tiki Bar with talented singers! After I came here, everything was a walking distance which I loved! Food was not far and the hotel room was near the beach. The service was nice too when I asked for more coffee cups. All in all, this place is not bad at all. I would come back to visit maybe every 4 years. Stay here at the Holiday Inn Resort and you will be happy for your choice! Price is right and service is great!
