Directions

The Dolphin Discovery Centre is located only a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive from the City Centre on Koombana Drive. There is plenty of parking and disabled access is also available.

Where are we going today?

The Dolphin Discovery Centre is a wealth of information and Delphinidae experiences and suitable for all ages.

Features include a discovery pool, several aquariums, 3D 360 degree digital dolphinarium, guided site tour, and a range of related 3D and 2D movies.

Outside there are grounds and lawns, beach access and an adventure playground. The one and a half hour Dolphin Eco Cruise takes you out amongst the wild variety, where you can see them (hopefully!) playing, feeding and exercising.

In the dolphin interaction zone visitors may stand in waist deep water and gently interact with the creatures if they approach. For even more contact one may book a guided swim tour with wild dolphins in their natural habitat at Koombana Bay.

I've been to this "Dolphin Discovery Place" Many Times, from mid 90's onwards.
It's Tourist Trap & a Con. You've got more chance of Discovering the Lochness Monster Shagging the Pope there.

I have been to the dolphin discovery center more than 4 times in my life. Each time I know there is no guarantee to see the wild dolphins as they are purely wild. The staff are friendly every time and love the job they volunteer for!
