To beat those winter blues, indoor reigns supreme! Discovery Place is waiting for you, with it’s fun interactive science exhibits, or perhaps the Charlotte Nature Museum takes your fancy with it’s slower paced activities.

Summer time blues? We don’t think so! Not with the U.S National Whitewater Center with the largest man-made whitewater river in the world, or the “thrill capital of the Southeast” - Carowinds has thrill rides that send you 300 feet in the air! 

Of course, what would a trip to this stunning North Carolina city be without history? Charlotte was the site of the nation’s first gold rush, so places like Reed Gold Mine celebrate it’s rich past.
