You can discover the "Spirit of Sioux City" through a lively 12-minute orientation film in an ornate "corn palace theater" (you are in Iowa after all!), or uncover and discover at the "Big I Dig" - a replica of an active fossil dig site.
Alongside the museums dynamic permanent exhibits, there are a number of temporary exhibits that feature local history as told through artifacts from the collections.
