Joshua Tree National Park has a fascinating variety of plants, animals and more that call this place their home. It's rich in cultural history and there's lots to explore in this vast wildnerness.
The park is open 24 hours a day and there's so much to do! There's around 300 miles of hiking trails for you to explore, all of varying abilities. There are also some short nature trails too which are perfect for smaller children and amazing views along the way!
There are designated range programs and special events that take place in the park all year round, so make sure to check the website before you visit so you know what's happening. See what you can spy too in the sky, as there's lots of birds and wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled!
If you [refer to cycle there are miles of dirt and paved roads,along with rock climbing opportunities and even horseback riding - perfect for adventurers!
Start your visit at one of the many visitor centres which have bookstores, picnic tables and water too, it's a great place to start your adventure.
There are many photo opportunities along the way, including wildflowers and even stargazing, it's ideal for those active families that want the kids to experience the wonders of the great outdoors!
From I-10, take exit 117 for CA Hwy 62 toward 29 Palms/Yucca Valley. This will allow you to access the West Entrance, the North Entrance, Black Rock, and Indian Cove. Take exit 168 off I-10 to come in at the park's South Entrance.
