It was fun!The indoor pool was really warm. They really improved over the summer. The only bad thing is,is that some of the staff don’t really enjoy being there and are grumpy. And the dip n’ dots are gone! The arcade was cool. The hot-tubs weren’t the most warm. But overall was fun!But I wouldn’t recommend going for like over 3 days because it can get pretty repetitive/boring after doing most of they’re activities there.

My family and I received tickets as a Christmas gift, so we decided to go. This was our first time going and it will definitely be our last. First of all, when we came in the door and walked up to the desk, the two women at the desk just stood there and stared at us. They didn’t greet us or ask “how can I help you?” So I just handed her my tickets and she put our wristbands on. Neither one of the women said a word to us. We all went into the family locker room to change. The shower and shower curtain had mold all over. The toilet was so dirty I wouldn’t even hover to go to the bathroom. All of the metal fixtures in the bathrooms were rusty. The women’s locker room was just as nasty as the family locker room. The water was really cloudy and they had a total of like 6 inner tubes for the lazy river. We only stayed about an hour and 30 minutes. I made my kids put their clothes on over their swimsuits and wait til we got home to shower and change. It was the nastiest, most disgusting water park I’ve ever been to. Please don’t waste your money or risk your health! I expected more from the Clock Tower Resort. They should be ashamed!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would have. We purchased a Living Social Deal to include an overnight stay with waterpark passes. We drove from Madison WI. They checked us into a room on the 2nd floor in the middle of the hotel. I have been in property management for over 12 years, so I am very well aware of the bed bug epidemic in the US. Whenever I travel, I leave my personal items in the hallway and check the entire room for bed bugs. My search turned up a dead bed bug in the lip of the mattress (next to a whole bunch of hair, I may add). I tried to call the front desk to have a manager come up, but three calls to the front desk still did not get me a response. I left my husband and children in the hallway with our things and walked all the way back down to the lobby. When I told them what I found, they called the housekeeping manager, who walked to the room with me, called the maint tech, and they both proceeded to tell me that the bug was not a bed bug. RIGHT, a dead flat bug in the lip of the mattress is NOT a bed bug- I told them I had thorough training on this matter due to my profession, they still argued with me. So, back to the front desk we went and I asked for the hotel manager. The woman who checked me in stated that she was the front desk supervisor (I think) and got very snippy with me. She seemed well rehearsed in discussing the issue of bed bugs, again denying that it was a bed bug, stating that I would not be receiving any compensation (which I hadn’t even asked for) and that the only thing she could do was move us to a different room- again, she was very rude and snippy. At this point, we had wasted 1 1/2 hrs on this mess, had two kiddos who were bummed, and so we decided to give it a try. The lovely “front desk supervisor” gave us a room as far away from the water park (we think on purpose since I asked for a room closest to the waterpark), a quick inspection of that room turned up 25+ bugs on the floor behind the bed- I have no idea if they were bed bugs, I didn’t stick around long enough to find out. We hightailed it back to the lobby where I asked for the GM (as a side note, we had now pushed our luggage cart back and forth SIX times). The lovely “front desk supervisor” came back out as if she was the GM- I told her I knew she was not the GM- she stated that the GM was off property. I told her I needed her to follow me to the room, but before we could start walking the actual GM came out of the room behind the front desk! off property, huh? I asked them both to follow me to the room and showed them what I discovered. The GM was very apologetic and all of the sudden the “front desk supervisor” was too. They refunded my taxes and put in a request for me to receive a full refund from Living Social- hopefully I will not have to argue with anyone else for that to go through.Because we had driven all the way from Madison, WI, we decided to let the kids swim in the waterpark before we left. We didn’t stay long, however, because the waterpark was the dirtiest, nastiest place I had ever been. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy- I wouldn’t have even hovered! the floors, counters, mirrors were disgusting. I took my kids to the car to change. The water was cloudy, they had like 3 tubes on the lazy river, the snack shop was way understaffed (I felt so bad for the two kids working in there) and dirty. The only thing that was half way ok was the arcade, that was decent and the prizes were fair.we travel a lot, especially to kid friendly destinations. Today was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel and I would never considering stepping foot in this place again!

I bought 4 one day passes through Groupon for $20. I drove from the south suburbs of Chicago. I thought this was decent for area residents to go and have fun. Not worth the travel from Chicago. The large slides were cool. Lots to do for little kids. Things I disliked were no towel service, metal fixtures in the bathroom were rusty, when I purchased food from there the napkin holders were empty and rusty. When I asked for a napkin the attendant said they were out. How do you run out of napkins where you serve food? The lazy river water was too cool to my liking. The air blowing was too cool as well. Maybe it’s not so bad in the summer. The lockers were $7 and $10 but they will charge you more if you exceed your time. No lockers to use your own lock. I guess they got to make money right? I will find other area water parks in the Chicago area to go to. Not worth the 1hr 30min trip.

I was REALLY worried about going to this place after reading all of the negative reviews on this site. I purchased a 4 person all day pass via groupon prior to reading the reviews. Also informed my family members about the deal (which was a total of 15 people) ..Then imagine my shock when I came on here and saw ALL of these negative reviews about this place. I got really worried about this not being a cool place to go and thought my family would permanently ban me from picking our future family local getaways…. now with that being said, I am sooooo glad that I didn’t go by the negative reviews on this page and went to Coco Key anyway. WE HAD A BLAST. My brothers, sisters, Mom, Dad and I were all in there acting like little kids!!! surprisingly our actual children (the little ones) were’nt having as much fun as the adults were!! weird. The only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because the one thing I found to be true out of all of the reviews is the amount of chlorine.. whew its alot. it takes a good 2 hours of being there before it really hits you. but it definitely gets to the place where it gets to be too much. We got there right at 10am when they open, and we left about 3pm. The bathrooms WERE clean, there was no toilet paper or feces on the bathroom floor like I read in previous reviews. The water WAS clean, No cloudiness and feces, like we read in previous reviews. The staff WAS nice, the lifeguards WERE nice and not racist, and the staff WAS nice. My husband says the pizza was good. The water WAS warm and not ice cold like we read in previous reviews, the hot tub was open, and It was NOT crowded like you read in the reviews. You can’t go to a place like this and expect to have it all to yourself. But it was just enough people where you could enjoy everything and not have to wait in any ridiculous lines to have fun.It was an awesome time for me and my family. And we’ve been to keylime cove, so we have something to compare it too… smaller yes… but similar level of fun. I cant say what the hotel looks like because we didn’t stay in the hotel. and I also cant say every experience will be like mine, because honestly my family and I can create fun and great memories where ever we find ourselves But Coco keys was truly a blast. We will definitely go back in the future. Thanks for helping us create family memories Coco key. My family and I visited on Sunday August 4, 2013
