About this activity

There is such a rich history in Chippewa Falls, so why not explore a museum that celebrates that?

Chippewa Falls Museum of Industry & Technology records, preserves and promotes the history of industry and technology in the Chippewa Valley region for all who visit!

Did you know that the manufacturing and processing began in the area back int he 1840s, and has continued right through to today.

The exhibits focus on the story of industry, but in doing so they teach about the area and its people.

Kids can also explore how the local business operated in the past, and also present day, offering an insight into the life and times over the past 150 years.

You can learn about one of the most successful brewing companies in the craft beer industry, operating since 1867, and you can explore Darley, who builds Fire Trucks, and sells Fire Fighting equipment!

There's an exhibit that celebrates a company that manufacturers logging boots for lumberjacks and rivermen (after all, that's such an important part of what they do!), and even learn about Cray - a global leader in supercomputing!

A visit to the Chippewa Falls Museum of Industry & Technology offers a glimpse into the businesses and history that shaped the region to what it is today, and you never know - it might just inspire the entrepreneur in the family to build something that can change the world!
