There are museums, and there are art galleries, but what about a museum all about art, and PERFECT for children, because the artwork is BY children!

Introducing the Children's Museum of the Arts! 

All of the exhibitions at the popular museum were designed to inspire kids with art, and get them talking about what they love about it. It might even inspire them to create their own art!

Each of the exhibits has been selected for families and children, and with a permanent collection of over 2,000 paintings and drawings of children's art, there is much to see!

The permanent collection features art - all by children - from all across the globe, from Norway, Argentina, Pakistan...even Senegal. There are even 19 rare and very exciting works created by children during the 1938 Children's Art Project as overseen by President Roosevelt.

What's amazing about art by children, is that it's purely them expressing themselves, from a viewpoint only children can create! They also offer an interesting view into NYC's style, landmarks and architecture from the 1930s. 

In addition to the artwork, the Children's Museum of the Arts also have workshops and events which are perfect for those children who want to explore the art world even more.

They cover a range of topics, from Frida Kahlo celebrations, to tree installations where kids can actually construct their own miniature versions, to creating fun and colorful carnival masks! 

If kids REALLY are inspired there are classes they can take - from after school to camps - where they can really learn the techniques and develop their skills and passions.
