Film Forum in New York opened it's doors in 1970 and is a cozy cinema experience where you'll feel right at home! It's a unique New York institution that has been welcoming cinema goers for generations. 

The cinema is a non-profit cinema showing the best of new and classic films through NYC theatrical premieres and foreign art films, across a range of genre. Their income comes from ticket sales and funding and aims to provide a memorable movie going experience for everyone. 

The entire cinema is accessible too, with assistive listening devices available on request. Make sure to check the website to see what movies are playing as they change week by week!

The theatre also hosts a range of events too, as well as films, so make sure to keep an eye on the website as they have lots of Q&A sessions with film directors and authors too. 

The film programs are throughtfully selected, with attention to unique cinematic qualities which are relevant to the world so you won't find Hollywood blockbusters here.
