Sywell Country Park offers stunning meadowland and lakeside walks for families wanting to chat and play ball games with a view. Visit to discover their unique sand and water play area in an old water filtration bed, whilst younger ones can try out their indoor soft play area where crafts run in the Pump house visitor cafe. If you're feeling really adventurous then open water swimming sessions are available on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings!
Walking the reservoir trail and Waterworks trail to find out the water walks heritage of the park and learn something new whilst having fun. On these routes, children love to hunt for butterflies, feed the birds with corn from the cafe, and see the bagers that live in tunnels. Mixing exercise with quality family time is guaranteed fun!
Check the website for updates on Nature tots, as education ranger-led wildlife activities for pre-school children are organised frequently to make the visit extra special. And when you've done all that walking and playing, head to the Pump house cafe to enjoy tea and cake and look back on all the fun you've had!
Follow the brown and white signs. The park is located off the Northampton to Mears Ashby Road, near Earls Barton crossroads on the A4500. A regular bus service stops in Ecton village, approximately 1 mile from the park entrance.

The Pump House cafe is open daily, except for Christmas Day (subject to proprietor's discretion) for snacks and food.
The trails are mostly hard-surfaced with seats and/or resting places every 200 metres. There are a number of steeper gradients in the park but the paths generally have a gradient of less than 1:15 so should be accessible and safe for most people

If using a wheelchair, a RADAR key is required to open the gates on the reservoir trail.
Blue badge holder parking is available situated near to accessible toilets. Pay and display charges apply.
Parking at Sywell Country Park costs £3.20 for up to 4 hours, £5.20 for up to 8 hours, £7.20 for up to 12 hours
The park entrance is approximately half a mile from the A4500 cycle path. There are 4 cycle racks in the lower car park near the parking machines, all covered by CCTV, allowing 8 bikes to be locked, as bikes aren't permitted inside the park.
No BBQ's allowed in the park.
