Abington Park Museum is the best place to tell the story of Abington as it's in the building that was once the manor house for the extensive Abington estate. Visit the galleries that chart the history and development of Abington as it has grown from a medieval manor to an attractive leafy suburb of Northampton! It is designed to allow people of all ages to explore the places and the people who have made Abington their home so visit for a fun and educational day out.

The Military Galleries at Abington Park Museum tell the story of the Northamptonshire Regiment and the Northamptonshire Yeomanry, and their engagements across the world. As it's based in one of Northampton's most popular parks, it has pretty views like an aviary, beautiful trees, a rose garden and lake to explore, and a fun children's play area that has plenty of greeen space.

They run events and activities for all ages including theatre, talks, walks, workshops and activities so it's the perfect family day out. Learn about the domestic life in the town, and view costume collections about  displays about the Northamptonshire Regiment.

Groups are also able to book talks and tours as part of a visit to Northampton Museums and Art Gallery or Abington Park Museum.

There's a shop in the Northampton Museum & Art Gallery 10 minutes away from this museum that most visitors view on the same day. And of course, there are many products reflecting their internationally important shoe collection.
