Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is a complete and authentic castle in Ireland and is the last of four castles to be built on the site. Tour the iconic fortrees, hear how the lords and ladies lives and hear the stories of battle and bravery. 

Experience a window into Ireland's past and explore the 15th century castle and the 19th century folk park. In the castle, you can experience a medieval banquet. Have a four course meal in the castle and be entertained by singers, music ans dance whilst you dine in the great hall. 

The folk park is set in 26 acres of countryside, with over 30 buildings in a living village and rural setting. There are farmhouses, village ships, streets and are all furnished to recreate what the past was like. 

The village street is the epicentre and you'll find brightly coloures shops, irish music and village cjatacyers. There's a school, doctors, post, office and grocery shop, plus much more! 

The park is also home to rare breeds and heritage animals. From sheep, cows, pigs and ponies there's many animals to try and explore and spot. 

If you love faries, then head out on the fairy trail! You'll be given an interactive booklet to solve clues and answer questions as you make your way around the trail. Look out for the fairy houses and there's plenty of new ones that will be added each time you visit the area!

There's a world of adventure waiting for you in the viking playground, with rope walks, bridges, slides and sandpits, the children will burn all their energy here! 

Don't forget to visit the regency walled garden which is a surviing part of the demesne which was formed around the castle itself. Take some time to sit and relax and take in the sights and sounds of the beautiful flowers and trees.
