Doolin Cave is a stunning underground experience as you head 125 steps into 350 million years of history! See how a single continuous drop of water formed the largest stalactite in Europe which is the only one of its kind in Reland!
Doolin-Cave is a fantasy like world create from water, time and nature. Head down the intricate system of passages and paths that will leave you to the cathedral like cave and the great stalactite.
It's 7.3 metres long and weighs around 10 tonnes, the structures reaches down from the roof of the cave, catching the light and reflecting colours. It's just like an ornate glass chandelier!
The Doolin Cave nature trail takes you to the original cave entrance. Along the way you'l lsee farm animals including cattle, goats and sheep and chickens too!
You'll be able to take in the views of the glacial valley and enjoy walking through the plants, trees and wildflower meadows. Take a seat on the limestone seating along the way too.
There are key discovery points along the gentle trail and you'll learn about the Burren overground and how the landscape has formed. The Burren is the only place on the planet where alpine, arctic and Meditterranean plants grow together.
The walks is around one kilometre in total along a chip-stone path and is free to all cave visitors!

Any top tips when visiting?
There are 125 steps into and out of the cave, every ten steps there is a landing and a handrail all the way down. All visitors must wear a hard hat, which will be supplied to you at the beginning of the tour, as the cave passage is low in places
