Explore the architectural defences, such as gun loops and musket holes and find out about the history of te people who lived here, as the guides take your on a journey of over 800 years.
There are formal gardens at Portumna and you can take a relaxing stroll around. The walled kitchen garden was used for growing vegetables and herbs and reflects the seasonal changes. On site you'll find a tea room with snacks and drinks and there's lots of fun quizzes, and activities for little ones to learn some local history too.
