Belton House welcomes visitors for a chance to explore the grounds, both inside the house, formal gardens, acres of parkland and a large adventure playground for the kids.
The house itself is a great example of restoration architecture, with a world-renowned libary and huge collections of art, silver and ceramics. here are also formal gardens too with a cast-iron orangery and fountains and plenty of lakeside walks too.
The parkland is rich in wildlife and covers 1300 acres in total, with an acient deer park, grazing sheet and ponds too. The deer can be easily seen on walks across the park and there's lots of opportunities for some great photos!
The outdoor adventure playground is a real highlight and is set within an ancient wildnerness. Swing, wobble, climb and jump your way through the obstacles, which are all designed to be challenging to aid development. You can also take a train ride on selected days, and you'll be taken to the woods and back again.
You'll also find an indoor play cafe too, which is full of adventure! There's a fishing lodge, walkways, cargo nets, slides and tunnels and it's great if the weather takes a turn!
