Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre is located in the Lynn Canyon Park in the temperate rainforest. It's more than just a nature museum and information centre, as they offer educational opportunities for schools, organisations and the whole public! They want to educate the community and connect visitors to nature and explore all of the opportunities there are to help the environment in which we live. 

The museum allows you to learn all about the local natural history and environmental concerns all through interactive nature exhibitis and workshops. Talk to the parks stadd for information about the park before heading to enjoy Lunn Creek and the hiking trails. Join the centre for stories in the forest on the first and third Fridays of the month or head out on a family adventure in the forest! You'll enjoy a forest walk, story and lots of hands on activities as you learn about the local plants and animals in the area. You'll also find lots more talks teaching you about the winter birds, bears and bees in the Spring! 

The museum itself features four galleries which are full of displays about plants, animals and people. There's even a children's gallery which is complete with a pupper theatre, animals sound machine, giant insect exhibit and cool natural history items from bird eggs to snake skins!
