About Ile Melville Park

Ile Melville Park is composed of two islands, Banane and Melville, a mountain and forests. Located in the heart of Shawinigan's city, the park is surrounded by the magnificiant Saint-Maurice River which is used for nautical activities. The Melville Island park is the excellent spot to take advantage of the four season.

You'll find the Abraska section which has four different aerial courses, that total 87 challenge games, ropes and flexible cables to have a go at! Each is suitable for different ages, in terms of height and difficulty so there is something for everyone. Snake through the forest frm platform to platform, but don't worry you're attached to a safety cable! The Little Squirrels course is for ages 2 - 6 with beams, walkways, small swings and more for them to do freely in safety harnesses. It's a great way to build up confidence!

Enjoy the marina and admire the boats as they come in and out at dock. There's also lots of hiking trails in the area too. There are 1608 hectares to enjoy where you can explore the forest, do a spot of cycling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the Winter!
