There is nothing quite like seeing a whale in the wild, at when you're in a place like the Gold Coast there are SO many opportunities to really admire and be inspired by these magical creatures. Spirit of Gold Coast Whale Watching is one company that offers these once in a lifetime tours.
Did you know that around 30,000 majestic Humpback Whales make an epic 10,000 km return journey annually between Antarctic and Australia? It's on this journey that you can see them in their natural habitat.
Literally within minutes of your departure you will be able to see these majestic creatures as they pass along what is known as "the Gold Coast Humpback Highway" en route of this annual migration.
This amazing journey is an incredibly fascinating experience to witness first hand. Right in front of you these 40-tonne Humpback Whales might breach, and wave their pectoral fins as they slap their tails!
What's also great about the tours are the crew on board, who are all passionate about the conservation of these gentle giants, and also promote awareness and education of the whales, as well as other marine wildlife and their natural environment.

You're more than welcome to take a pram on board, just let them know you plan to do this at the time of booking

The Spirit Vessel is wheelchair accessible; however, please note:
Access to the Spirit Vessel is by a ramp, which is 80 centimetres wide. The steepness of the ramp will vary depending on the tide
Please note that the Spirit crew cannot carry passengers from their wheelchairs. All guests who use a wheelchair must be able to move themselves, or bring assistance with them
The Spirit Vessel is equipped with standard marine toilets. These toilets are narrow and may require an assistant/carer to facilitate their usage.
If it is overcast or lightly raining we still venture out to see the whales as they tend to find the whales still active. They have plenty of under covered areas (including indoors) so you can stay warm without missing out on seeing the whales if you wish.
They base their decision to cancel on the tides and the winds. If it is too rough and unpleasant they will contact you the day before to reschedule your trip.
