Featherdale Wildlife Park has an amazing and diverse 300 strong collection of Australia's most recognisable species. Some you may just recognise the name, and some you might have been lucky to have seen in the wild yourself!
Have you ever seen a cheeky Kookaburra laugh as it sits in the trees? Have you ever seen a scaly crocodile open it's mouth and show you all his teeth? Have you ever seen a koala sitting in the tree cuddling it's young, or a sweet little quoll scampering in the bushes?
Featherdale Wildlife Park has a host of animals that you can get right up close to, and it's a great learning experience for the whole family as you can discover all these amazing creatures habits and habitats.
Now for the big questions - have you ever PETTED a kangaroo or koala? Now is your chance! Featherdale has some amazing animal petting encounters, and some animals you can actually hand feed yourself. Pretty amazing!
Conservation is a big part of what Featherdale Wildlife Park stands for, so there are a number of presentations which are regularly offered that will really give you an amazing fun and educational experience.
Kids - If you want a really special experience with all of your friends, why not hold your birthday party at the park. You won't be sharing your party with just your school friends - you will have new animal friends to celebrate with you!
You won't want to forget your camera, because there are some really curious animals waiting to make friends with you!
Getting to Featherdale by public transport is easy. From the city, take the North Shore and Western line to Blacktown Station. Bus stand 9 is located just outside the station. Take the number 725 bus for a 10 minute ride which will drop you right outside Featherdale’s gates.

It's a great place for kids to visit! There are education lessons for 45 minutes, and then they get to explore and continue learning all about the animals
