What is there to do?

We just LOVE a great wildlife experience here at Family Days Out, and Billabong Sanctuary Townsville certainly offer just that.

Set across 25 acres of tropical bushland, Billabong Sanctuary are home to your favorite Australian animals, from koalas, to snakes, wombats, crocodiles and more! Within the park, not only can you see these amazing creatures, but learn about them too AND enjoy highly interactive wildlife experiences!

Yes kids, you can enjoy handling opportunities with all the animals we listed above, and more! You can pat a koala, and even tickle a wombat's toes. Have you ever wrapped yourself in a friendly snake, or held a baby crocodile? You can here!

From feeding a Cassowary to feeding the turtles, and much much more, it's a wonderful experience for kids as they get to really interact with some of the creatures that make Australia so unique.

There are walk through free ranging enclosures for kangaroos and wallabies which are quite tame and there are excellent family photos to be had throughout.
