The popular Avoca Beach on the Central Coast is where the family can enjoy the beautiful long stretch of golden sand, book-ended by two spectacular headlands.
When you visit, you'll see why Avoca Beach really is a paradise for families who love the sun, the sand, and even the surf!
Located on the NSW Central Coast, you also also find bustling markets, a charming cinema and plenty of cafes!
Kids will love to explore the rock pool at the southern end of Avoca Beach or they might want to learn to surf with the Central Coast Surf Academy!
If you have experienced divers in the family, why not take a diving tour to the artificial reef which was created by Ex-HMAS Adelaide. It's quite special to see the sunken warship resting 32m below the surface, and 1.8km from shore.
On the nearby Avoca Lake you can hire a kayak or pedal boat for even more adventures. You can even try your hand at the stand up paddle board from Aquafun Avoca Lake!
With so much beach fun to be had, Avoca Beach definitely is one of the top beaches in Australia for a reason!

Avoca Beach is a 90min drive north from Sydney or an 80min drive south from Newcastle. Alternatively, you can take a train from Central Station in Sydney to Gosford and alight for a bus to Avoca Beach – the travelling time is a little over two hours in total.
