Where are we going today?

Looking for some water fun for the family? How about 45 acres of it! Welcome to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in New Jersey - where there is 45 acres of water adventure, from thrill rides, to family rides and attractions for those little water babies of the family.

How about we start with the thrill rides - because we LOVE them! Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in New Jersey has some of the tallest, craziest, fastest and wettest rides in the entire country!

Why not enjoy a three slide complex that covers smooth, fast AND swervy tastes. You can challenge yourself and take on a 75 foot drop, and there is even a chance to head up five stories of gale force winds, followed by four tube slides and two turbo toboggan runs!

Rafts, cobras, snakes....there really is some THRILLS to be had at this Jackson water park!

But, as we mentioned, there are attractions for those in the family who don't like such thrilling water experiences. Six Flags are all about family fun, so there are great attractions where the whole family can enjoy them together.

There are family sized rafts to take you down some pretty fun drops, or you can just relax in the 696,000 gallon wave pool - just like being in the ocean!

For those little water babies in the family, who want kiddie sized thrills, there are attractions for them too! The Caribbean Cove is perfect for a fun water play experience, and Discovery Bay is where little kids come first with a fun shallow water playground.

Let's not forget about all those fun events at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor New Jersey ! They have great events across the season, so keep an eye out for what you might want to head to - and make sure it goes in those diaries!

Make a splash this season in New Jersey - you know you want to!

Look out for lazy lifeguards who are either too embarassed or too disinterested to enforce rules in the water park. Last time I was there, there were several 1 year olds who were not in swim diapers. They were in them earlier in the day, but I guess the parents ran out. When I pointed this out to one of the lifeguards, he refused to say anything. He said "But what would I say?" I told him to tell them to put a diaper on their kid so we don't all get sick from poop in the water. Nothing happened. Gross.

The staffing was fine everywhere I looked I saw lifeguards. The problem is most of the rides are only two at a time so if it's even the slightest bit busy your in for a long wait. Picture it...You're barefoot, topless and standing in the hot sun with no guard rail or anything to lean on. Everyone's feet hurt their legs were sore and the backs were stiff by the time they let you enter you have to walk up four or five flights of stairs just to go down a slide that's done in ten seconds. I was there from 10:30am-7:30pm and only went on 3 rides. NEVER...Read More

I'm generally a fan of water parks, but this was BY FAR the absolute WORST most DESPICABLE water park I've EVER been to. The entire thing is a giant scam - the admission is only the very beginning. $20 robbery for parking, $14 for locker rental, and the worst is that you basically have no choice but to also rent a tube ($7 for a single tube or $14 for a double). It's a gigantic money grab - they removed all tubes from the lazy river so you have to rent one, and circulate only a very limited number of tubes specific for each waterslide, further...Read More

Had a great time. The rides are awesome. The lines were long and only 2 trains running on the three train lines. The staff could do more to ensure the trains are fully loaded. Overall had a great time.

P.S.
No rivets or metal anything on your swimsuit anywhere or they won't let you go down the slides.
I saw a lot of people wait in the line just to get to the top and be turned away...One guys girlfriend went all ninja like and bit off all the rivets on her boyfriends swim suit just so they could go on the ride together...True Love Right There =)

It's a gigantic money grab - they removed all tubes from the lazy river so you have to rent one, and circulate only a very limited number of tubes specific for each waterslide, further forcing you to rent a tube. After you rent one, if there is even one available for rent (they were out of singles when I tried, we offered to rent the double, but they had only a single cash register out of 5 open and we were instructed to wait in line behind people waiting for singles to be returned, what the hell??) it is complete chaos because they don't have enough and it is impossible to secure your tube all day, so people will just steal it, and I can hardly blame them because what other choice is there and the whole thing is a sham.

The lines are hideously long for everything - you will waste your entire day standing in line after line after line. Including the line for the tube rental. They also take advantage of this situation further by offering this ludicrous "Flash Pass" for even more money, so all the people who paid even more get into a priority line and go ahead of you. Part of the reason the lines are so long is that the running of the waterslides is horrendously inefficient, because the park is short-staffing them, also at the expense of safety. There was a single employee trying to take care of 3 slide entrances at the top, on a slide, causing large delays. I don't even know how the other slides were because I gave up going on any others after the wait for that one. Yeah, $114 for 2 people to go down a single waterslide all day, what value!!

It all comes down to the park management skimping on everything - all the employees are undoubtedly grossly underpaid and overworked so they just don't give a crap. Every line was complete chaos and the employees were poorly trained and had no idea what was going on anywhere.

In summary, DON'T GO HERE. I will never, EVER visit any Six Flags park again - it's just not worth it and everything has gone down the hole.
