Enjoy the more than 10 miles of hiking trails, the wonder of the Kate Gorrie Butterfly House, and the exhibits and animals of the Buttinger Nature Center.
Plus get on mission with the science of water and understand what we can do to help: whether or not you have a stream in your backyard, the actions you take everyday impact our water and environment. Take the River-Friendly Resident survey and learn how you can live “green” and be River-Friendly.
Regular family oriented events include BUtterfly Festivals and Green Fairs.
The Buttinger Nature Center is open Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Come visit our animals and displays, and check out the Nature Center Shop. The Kate Gorrie Butterfly House is open dawn to dusk in season (June through September). Contact directly for cost information.
