The owner's and staff are simply GREAT. They are courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and wonderful teachers. They taught me skills and showed me wonderful nature areas to explore. I could not recommend them more highly to anyone wanting to learn how to kayak, stand-up paddle board, or windsurf. Sarasota is lucky to have Laurel help locals and visitors explore and enjoy the natural bounty.

We were a group of 4, we took 2 doubles, and another couple added in, also in a double.
We were met, given our pre-paddle instructions and cautions, and launched easily in well-maintained,clean, sturdy boats, sit-ins but open, stable on the water. We were in the bayside, and although the winds were up a bit, we were pretty sheltered and had easy paddling. Our guide Colin took us to a couple of spots where he found some samples of shellfish and almost shellfish( sea cucumber), and he was interesting and informative. Our tour probably ran longer...Read More

Had a wonderful kayak experience. We got to see manatees, dolphins, sea urchins, sea cucumbers in the bay and had a fantastic tour through the mangrove tunnels. Our guide Colin was informative and entertaining and we learned about marine life and some local lore as well.

Myself and three friends took the kayak tour through the mangroves with Colin. It was so interesting and Colin was so knowledgeable. Our oldest member at 73 years of age got her paddle stuck in the mangroves and tipped herself over. Colin was very responsive and very caring and made her feel as comfortable as possible. He worried that she might get hypothermia and made sure she was as warm as possible. It was also nice to see him pick up the litter as we went. He showed us so any things of nature that I never saw before. He made our trip....Read More

We had an exciting, informative, and fun-filled tour with Colin. We learned about the history of the area and many facts about the marine life we encountered. We thought the interactions with Guy on the phone and the personal care we received by Colin to be very professional and organized. Thanks Guys! We will be back!

Our tour probably ran longer than was scheduled, but we were never rushed, and we all had a very enjoyable, safe, and memorable day. I think none of us will forget the stream through the Mangroves. I would comment that in any much larger group, somebody probably wouldn't be able to hear the guide very easily.
