What is there to do?

Ready to explore the LARGEST natural and cultural history museum on Florida's Gulf Coast? Great, because we're off to The South Florida Museum, that also happens to be home to a planetarium and aquarium too!

The South Florida Museum is FILLED with fascinating learning experiences for the family, with their many engaging exhibits that cover the science and culture of Florida, the world and even the universe!

Kids can see fossil evidence of the state's earliest marine mammal inhabitants, or explore local maritime history in the River Heritage Hall.

Not only are there permanent exhibits, but also a changing line-up of temporary exhibitions so there is something new to discover with each visit! There are exhibits that showcase early life in the region, and of course an impressive wooly mammoth skeleton!

Don't miss a trip to the Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Aquarium either, an invaluable learning experience on conservation, where you can see real manatees up close, or explore the universe at some of the planetarium shows. It's an out of this world adventure!

Adults: $19

Children: $14 (Ages 4 to 12)

Discount: Seniors $17, plus Museum Members, Florida Teachers and Active U.S. Military receive FREE daily admission (with proper ID)

10am - 5pm Tuesdays to Saturdays, 12pm - 5pm Sunday
