About The Florida Aquarium

There is something really magical and mysterious about those great oceans, lakes and rivers all across the world, and The Florida Aquarium is a great way to explore them - and you don't even need to get wet!

Why don't we start exploring the exhibits? These are the reason this aquarium has been ranked in the top 10 aquariums in the entire USA!

Let's start with the Wetlands Trails, where you can journey through swamps teeming with alligators, as you watch the otters play. The best of what makes Florida special is on show here, including the 14ft Burmese Python! Eeek!

Madagascar, anyone? Of course we can go! Journey to Madagascar is filled with leaping lemurs and hissing cockroaches...see if you can spot those chameleons too! From Africa to the Bays and Beaches, where over 20,000 plants and animals are waiting to be uncovered in this underwater world - it will make you look at the shores differently from now on!

Next we can journey to those beautiful Coral Reeds, where kids can see a one of a kind view of the most beautiful, delicate, and important ecosystems in the entire world. These are habitats normally explored by the most experienced of divers, but at The Florida Aquarium you can see for yourself how incredible micro habitats can live.

Finally - Ocean Commotion! This most recent exhibits gives the whole family a close encounters with some of the more incredible creatures in the oceans. Using animated characters, it's where kids can really gain an understanding of what lives in the waters!

Don't miss the interactive touch experiences at The Florida Aquarium too, where kids can bring their experience to a whole new level, and actually TOUCH stingrays and sharks, and some great surprises too!

From books, to jewelry, to marine toys and education items, the gift shop is why you should save that pocket money, kids, and treat yourselves!

Teachers corner

There is SO much to learn! They have on site field trips where kids can explore self-guided programs, or they can come to YOU! They have great educational camps too AND they offer free admission to perfect attendance students with A's and B's!
