Where are we going today?

We just LOVE zoos, and what we really love about Fresno Chaffee Zoo is that the enclosures really allow animals to live in a space that mimics the natural world.

In fact, there are around 190 species who get to call the zoo home, and you can visit all of them just in one day!

Of course, there are a host of mammals from all around the globe that are waiting to say hi! There are the grand African Lions heading up the pride, or those playful Colobus Monkeys. Kids will be in awe at those Asian Elephants playing in the water, and there are even some weird and wonderful creatures like the Giant Anteater!

Kids can see their favorites such as the stripy zebra or the White Rhino, and even some they might have never heard of before like the Malaya Tapir!

It's not just mammals at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo though. Those birds are represented, with those flamingos, Brown Pelicans and even the emus!

Kids who love those slithering species will love getting up close to species such as the King Cobra, or the very unusual Komodo Dragon!

Don't miss the Cownosed Ray at the zoo either, because what would a zoo be without those ocean creatures!

Of the 190 species at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, there are 94 species that are part of the Species Survival Plan, so they are even helping some of the world's most rare breeds, and you are helping too!

With great experiences too, such as the African Adventure, Roo Walkabout and Dingo Dig, there is plenty of entertain those kids for a day of animal fun, so let's go!

This place was amazing! My boyfriend and I drove two hours just to see the zoo. It was well worth every penny! We got to touch stingrays and feed giraffes. All of the exhibits where great! The sea lion cove was up close and personal. All of the staff were friendly and the animals were too. Overall the place was wonderful.

Awesome affordable small zoo. Great value for the money. Animals seem well cared for and happy. In town for a few days needed something to do with a toddler.

What a true hidden treasure in Fresno. Such a great value for the money cannot beat this for a family Day full of fun. Not over commercialized like larger zoos vary personal

The zoo was so much more than I had expected. The baby giraffe and the the elephants were my favorites. The grounds were lovely, and the people were friendly and helpful. Sea Lion Cove was very interesting, and I loved that it was landscaped with California native plants. It was both lush and drought tolerant.
