Where are we going today?

It's always great to find a place where kids can not only have a great and creative time, but also a place where they can learn and develop!

The Brooklyn Children's Museum is actually a pioneer in children's education, because it was actually founded all the way back in 1899 JUST for the sole purpose of giving kids a place and learn and play! How amazing is that!?

Since then, over 300 children's museum have popped up all around the world. You're welcome!

Brooklyn Children's Museum has award-winning and hands-on exhibits which are unique and innovative, and give kids a chance to use their imagination, create, experiment and develop in the capacity they need to.

From those little ones to the older kids in the family, there are exhibits for them. Each one is a learning adventure.

Kids can make pizza in the fun pizza parlor, or go shopping in the grocery store. They can even pretend they are enjoying a day at the beach with the very cool blue sand! There are fun animal exhibits to introduce kids to the creatures that we have across the world, and there is fun water play for those kids who like to be a bit...cool!

Love nature? Then why not explore the nature space and garden? If you have readers in the family then you might want to consider the library too!

Did you know that this is the only children's museum in the city, and one of the few in the country, that has been accredited by the American Association of Museums? Yep! It's a pretty special place, so why don't you check it out!

Just visited with my 5-year-old daughter last week and I was blown away by its creativity and fascination. My daughter immediately loved it and even I myself was quite intrigued by its creativity. I have been to Long Island Children Museum and also Manhattan Children's Museum, both are very good and my daughter loves both, by the way. But Brooklyn Children's Museum is certainly a fantastic place for kids to explore, wonder, learn, and most importantly, have fun!!!

Best Children's Museum on the east coast US by far! Having been all over the USA and visiting the liberty science center, please touch museum, smithsonian, Atlanta children's museum, Miami children's museum, the Da Vinci Center just to name a few this place is the best. iT Is Inexpensive, not more than 20% technology (Ie most other museums exchange fun hands on exhibits for flashy computer screens and lose the point of the hands on museum experience. ..for that we could put kids in front of a computer at home), with truly educational exhibits...Read More

This place is perfect for the toddler and early elementary school set. Lots of opportunities to explore and play. My kids love the pizza shop, seeing Fantasia the albino boa and digging in the sand. Kids five and under will enjoy the 'totally tots' area that is reserved just for them and often has crafts happening.

If you have kids, they will love this museum. Many exhibits encourage kids to use their imagination and makes them feel as if they are a part of the exhibit. Always exciting, because they always have new things to experience.

We just celebrated my son's 4th birthday at Brooklyn Children's Museum, the theme was Pirates of The Museum and it was really AMAZING!The party coordinator Julian was fantastic to work with in planning the party. He is very accommodating, allows for input and to bring in your own music or select a playlist on hand. The party hosts are from the theater as is Julian which helped with the excitement of the party because they were very animated and enthusiastic. This place is just beautiful, we'll organized, clean, spacious, well staffed and I will do my best to get back as often as possible.

I really liked the option of having the museum to ourselves(5pm start time for some of the packages) and if party goers wanted to explore other exhibits they can arrive before the party just have to be mindful of the kids attention span and nap times- because you want them energized for the main party ;)) All we had to do was show up and they handled everything from set up, food, cake and clean up. The children were engaged in an activity the whole time after the treasure hunt there was a puppet manned by Julian who led the children in dance games and play! To date BEST party venue ;) I highly recommend a party at BrooklynChildren's Museum.
